Caring for Others in Suicide Prevention
Moved by the final writings of people who had taken their own lives, psychiatrist Jérôme Motto came up with the idea of reaching out to everyone who had attempted suicide. This "thoughtful care," which characterizes what is now known as "postvention," has since spread to many countries, including France, notably through the VigilanS program.
