Technical information on occupational exposure to asbestos fibers. Job-exposure matrix for asbestos fibers

The purpose of this guide is to present the asbestos-specific job-exposure matrix developed by ESSAT (Associated Team on Occupational Health; InVS-DST/Isped-LSTE) and the Department of Occupational Health at the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance, and to provide technical information on occupational exposure to asbestos in France. The job-exposure matrix provides, for all jobs considered to be exposed in France, the probability, frequency, and intensity of exposure between 1945 and 2007. The asbestos fiber matrix is available on the Evalutil website (http://etudes.isped.u-bordeaux2.fr/evalutil003/), and its summary presentation brochure is available on the InVS website (Matgéné thematic dossier accessible via the URL: www.invs.sante.fr).
