Making it commonplace to talk about alcohol consumption [Interview].

"We need to challenge the positive social perception that alcohol continues to enjoy, even though it is the second leading cause of death in France," emphasizes Philippe Batel. Above all, we need to encourage young people and adults to talk about their experiences with alcohol—without judgment—so that we can gain insight into their perceptions of it. Another priority to implement: the primary care physician or another healthcare professional should discuss this topic with their patient at least once a year.
