Summary of the 2018 Smoke-Free Month Initiative in the Workplace

There are several key factors for the effective implementation of Tobacco-Free Month: ambassadors’ familiarity with the business landscape in their region, the organization and motivation of the company, and the nature of the proposed initiatives. These factors were identified through feedback from regional ambassadors and national partners; Many challenges remain in making the initiative even more deeply rooted within companies: tools better suited to all types of businesses, and, for ambassadors, a more thorough identification of companies at the regional and local levels, as well as greater consideration of social inequalities. Key figures: 841 sponsoring companies, 445 initiatives implemented in companies, 12 partner companies at the national level.
