Evaluation of the nicotine replacement therapy program: impact on recipients of CMU-C.
Health insurance covers nicotine replacement therapy up to 50 euros per year per person. People covered by the Universal Supplementary Health Coverage program make less use of this treatment despite being more exposed to secondhand smoke. Smoking cessation rates are lower among disadvantaged populations. In all cases, advice from a healthcare professional, combined with smoking cessation treatment, increases the likelihood of success.
