Key Points

  • Among children, throughout December 2024, emergency room visits and SOS Médecins calls decreased for most indicators compared to November 2024, particularly during week 52 (the first week of school break). While the number of cases involving suicidal acts and suicidal ideation remained higher than in previous years, other indicators remained within normal ranges.

  • Among adults, emergency room visits and SOS Médecins interventions were stable or declining in November compared to October 2024, with the exception of visits for eating disorders (which saw a slight increase). The number of visits for suicidal ideation and interventions for anxiety (ages 18–64) remained higher than in previous years.
