Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, October 8, 2019

Summary

Nationally, in week 39 (September 23–29), mortality across all ages and causes remains within the usual range of fluctuation.

These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet consolidated due to the usual delays in reporting. Their purpose is to describe trends in mortality without linking them to any current events.

According to data from electronic certification, 2,148 deaths were recorded in week 40 (September 30–October 6, 2019).
