Children and adolescents have changed in their attitudes toward sexuality. Through changes in parenting, among other factors, they are much more deeply immersed than before in the fulfillment of desire, the credo of liberal postmodern society. For parents, this is a delicate balancing act; it must be approached through open dialogue with the child, while respecting their status as “not yet grown up,” as Serge Lesourd, a researcher in psychology and psychoanalysis, points out.
