Intellectual Disabilities and Sexual Abuse.

A literature review on the health needs of people with intellectual disabilities was conducted by Santé publique France as part of a partnership initiated in 2008 with the National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA). This research focused in particular on their emotional and sexual lives, drawing on studies conducted between 2005 and 2015. In this context, several articles addressed the issue of the increased risk of sexual violence faced by people with intellectual disabilities. Among them, certain groups appear to be even more vulnerable, particularly women with mild intellectual disabilities.
