Adolescent sexuality in calls to Fil santé jeunes.
The Ile-de-France School for Parents and Educators has been authorized by the Ministry of Social Affairs to establish and oversee the anonymous, toll-free “Fil jeunes santé” hotline, a national hotline providing support and information on physical, psychological, and social health. This service operates daily from 8 a.m. to midnight. It also serves as an observatory for youth health issues. The results from 14 months of operation (940,000 calls, of which 139,500 were handled) reveal that 17% of callers aged 12 to 22 are concerned with issues related to sexuality. Analysis of the inquiries provides insight into behaviors and expectations in this area, based on age and gender.
