Key Points

COVID-19

  • Stabilization of viral circulation as measured by biological indicators

  • Stabilization or decline in most other indicators monitored as part of this surveillance, with the exception of an increase in conventional and critical care hospitalizations

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

  • 23 imported cases of dengue and 1 imported case of chikungunya were identified

  • 3 episodes of local dengue transmission were identified

West Nile virus

  • 3 cases of West Nile virus infection were confirmed by the CNR. These were locally transmitted cases residing in the Bouches-du-Rhône (1) and Var (2) departments

  • 3 equine cases were confirmed by the LNR in the Var department in August and September

Monkeypox

  • 281 confirmed cases residing in the Paca region had been reported as of 10/18/22

Bronchiolitis

  • Transition to the pre-epidemic phase

  • Emergency departments - The proportion of visits for bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age is stable

  • SOS Médecins - The proportion of consultations for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age is on the rise

  • Virological data - Since week 36, 77 RSV cases have been isolated by the Rénal network
