COVID-19

  • In S42, viral circulation appears to be declining in Corsica. The number of patients currently hospitalized in general wards is increasing slightly, but the number in intensive care is decreasing.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

  • One episode of local dengue transmission was confirmed in week 40.

Bronchiolitis

  • Pre-epidemic phase.

  • SOS Médecins - 14 consultations for bronchiolitis were conducted in Week 42, accounting for 11.0% of all consultations for children under 2 years of age, a slight increase compared to Week 41 (9.6%).

  • Emergency departments - 5 visits for bronchiolitis were recorded in the emergency department in Week 42, representing 5.7% of all consultations for children under 2 years of age, a slight increase compared to Week 41 (3 visits).
