COVID-19
In S46, viral circulation appears to be stabilizing. As of November 20, the number of active conventional hospitalizations shows an increase compared to the previous Sunday, but no one was hospitalized in intensive care due to a COVID-19 infection.
Chikungunya, Dengue, Zika
Surveillance of chikungunya, dengue, and Zika cases began on May 1 and ends on November 30. In Corsica, one episode of local dengue transmission was confirmed in week 40.
Bronchiolitis
Epidemic phase.
SOS Médecins - Eighteen consultations for bronchiolitis were conducted in Week 46, accounting for 16.5% of all consultations for children under 2 years of age, virtually unchanged from Week 45 (17.5%).
Emergency departments - Seventeen visits for bronchiolitis were recorded in emergency departments in week 46, representing 17.5% of all visits by children under 2 years of age, an increase compared to week 45 (7 visits, or 9.7% of consultations). In addition, four hospitalizations for bronchiolitis were recorded following an emergency department visit among children under 2 years of age (vs. 1 the previous week)
