Epidemiological Surveillance in Corsica. Update as of March 31, 2021.

COVID-19

The regional incidence rate, at 153 per 100,000 inhabitants, shows an increase (+13%), with differing trends between the two departments. The incidence rate continues to rise in Southern Corsica (+29%) and remains stable in Northern Corsica (+0%). Both rates exceed the alert threshold of 50 per 100,000 inhabitants. The testing rate is stable (5,293 per 100,000 inhabitants, a decrease of 1%). The regional positivity rate is rising slightly (+0.3 percentage points). The number of active hospitalizations across all departments is rising sharply at the regional level (+24 additional hospitalizations compared to Week 11). This is mainly due to an increase in general hospitalizations in Southern Corsica (+25 hospitalizations). Intensive care hospitalizations remain stable.
