Increase in regional epidemic monitoring indicators:
regional incidence rate on the rise;

The regional incidence rate, at 100 per 100,000 inhabitants, is rising, but masks a sharp increase in Haute-Corse and a slight decrease in Corse-du-Sud. This rate remains above the alert threshold of 50 per 100,000 inhabitants in both departments of the island. The testing rate is slightly decreasing (4,064 per 100,000 inhabitants). The positivity rate is rising to 2.6%. At the same time, the number of hospitalized patients across all departments continues to rise, while in intensive care or continuous care units, the active caseload appears to be stabilizing.

Emergency departments: no cases of bronchiolitis were recorded in emergency departments during week 03.
SOS Médecins: 8 consultations for bronchiolitis were conducted in week 03.
Flu
Emergency departments: No visits related to flu-like symptoms were recorded in the emergency department during week 03.
SOS Médecins: One consultation for flu-like symptoms was conducted in week 03.
Sentinelles Network: The incidence rate for influenza-like illness reported by the Sentinelles Network in week 03, not yet consolidated, is 22 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [0; 53]). The previous week, the incidence rate was 31 per 100,000 inhabitants [2; 60].
Surveillance of influenza/COVID-19 cases admitted to intensive care: since the start of surveillance (October 5, 2020), 30 severe cases of influenza/COVID-19 in intensive care have been reported.
Virological surveillance: since the start of surveillance (week 40), 5 rhinoviruses, 1 adenovirus, and 1 SARS-CoV-2 have been isolated by doctors in the Sentinelles network from a total of 15 samples.
Gastroenteritis
Emergency departments: Emergency department activity related to gastroenteritis in week 03 is stable compared to the previous week and remains low.
SOS Médecins: Activity at SOS Médecins clinics related to gastroenteritis in week 03 decreased slightly compared to the previous week and remains low.
Sentinelles Network: The incidence rate for acute diarrhea reported by the Sentinelles network in week 03, not yet consolidated, is 37 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [0; 77]). Activity is decreasing compared to the previous week.
