Key Indicators in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur
SOS-Médecins: Decline in COVID-19-related visits; 3% of consultations were COVID-19-related in S22.
Emergency departments: Decline in COVID-19-related visits; 0.8% of visits were COVID-19-related in Week 22.
Sentinelles Network: incidence of acute respiratory infections at 26 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 22 (18 in Week 21).
Facilities caring for dependent elderly individuals: 2,811 cases among residents and 489 deaths as of June 2. The number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported since the last epidemiological update remains low.
Hospitalized cases: downward trend in hospitalizations and ICU admissions of COVID-19 patients; 873 hospitalized cases as of June 2, including 74 in the ICU; 908 hospitalized patients have died since the start of the epidemic.
Sentinel intensive care units: 86% of cases had at least one risk factor as of June 2; invasive ventilation was required for 70% of cases.
All-cause mortality: no significant increase in mortality since week 17 in any department in the region.
Clusters: As of June 3, thirteen transmission clusters outside of nursing homes and small family clusters have been identified, ten of which are still under investigation.
