Epidemiological Surveillance in the Pays de la Loire Region. Update as of October 13, 2015.
Over the past week in the region:
First week of decline in consultations for nasopharyngitis through SOS Médecins since the start of the school year. Consultations and emergency room visits for asthma attacks in children also continue to decline. Initial increase in emergency room visits for all causes among children under 1 year of age. In terms of viral circulation, active circulation of rhinovirus is reported by the Nantes University Hospital laboratory.
Reports of mushroom poisoning, recorded by the Angers Poison Control and Toxicovigilance Center, indicate 76 cases in the region since early July, including 13 during the past week. The 76 cases reported in the region account for 8% of the 916 cases reported in France during this period.
