Over the past week in the region:

• The flu epidemic is still active in the region,

• Intensive care units have reported 17 cases of severe flu since February,

• A decrease in emergency department visits by people aged 75 and older, remaining just above the statistical threshold for the season,

• A slight increase in the number of deaths among people aged 85 and older compared to the expected number for the season,

• A sharp decrease in the number of clusters of acute respiratory infections (ARI) in facilities housing the elderly,

• Moderate persistence of gastroenteritis cases.
