Gastroenteritis
Activity levels remained high last week in the Pays de la Loire region, with a high number of emergency room visits and SOS Médecins calls for gastroenteritis. While there was a decrease in SOS Médecins calls and emergency room visits last week compared to the previous week, activity levels remain high compared to the same period in the two previous years.
Bronchiolitis
The 7th week of the bronchiolitis epidemic among children under two years of age in the Pays de la Loire region, with the peak having passed. A marked decrease in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins calls for bronchiolitis was observed last week.
Flu
For the past four weeks, the Pays de la Loire region has been in the pre-epidemic phase of the flu. Flu surveillance indicators for SOS Médecins calls and emergency room visits remained stable last week compared to the previous week. In addition, 33 severe cases of influenza requiring intensive care have been reported in the region since the start of the winter season, as well as 31 clusters of acute respiratory infections (ARI) in nursing homes since October 1, 2019.
