Over the past week in the region:

• The flu epidemic continues to decline,

• Intensive care units have reported 18 cases of severe flu since February,

• Clusters of acute respiratory infections are still being reported in facilities housing the elderly,

• Decrease in emergency department visits by people aged 75 and older,

• A moderate decline in cases of gastroenteritis, with an increase in rotavirus isolates.
