  • Early-stage syphilis: In 2019, the proportion of primary and secondary cases increased among heterosexual men and women, and the age of affected women decreased; two cases of congenital syphilis were reported.

  • Gonococcal infections: the number of cases reported in 2019 remained stable compared to 2018.

Impact of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic

A decrease in HIV and bacterial STI testing was observed in March and April 2020 according to SNDS data.
