Typically, the majority of cases occur between February and May, peaking in April, 2 to 4 months after the peak of rainfall.
The first case of leptospirosis of the year was biologically confirmed in week 3; a total of 53 cases of leptospirosis were confirmed in 2022 in Mayotte.
A peak was observed in week 11; the number of confirmed cases is declining, with 5 cases in week 13.
The confirmed cases were primarily men under the age of 30.
