Epidemiological Situation

The seasonal influenza epidemic, caused primarily by the B virus, peaked in week 27. After a decline at the start of the school break during the week of July 7, monitored indicators show that the epidemic has stabilized at levels that remain above seasonal averages. Furthermore, since the last epidemiological update, four new patients have been hospitalized in intensive care for influenza.
