Epidemiological Situation

The flu epidemic is currently ongoing in Réunion, with consultations for flu-like symptoms remaining high among the island’s sentinel physicians and on the rise in emergency departments. Similarly, the number of isolated viruses is increasing with the co-circulation of three virus types: A(H1N1)pdm09, non-H1N1 A, and B. Since the beginning of June, 10 people who developed severe forms of influenza have been admitted to intensive care.
