Dengue

During the southern winter, surveillance continues but without weekly reports. Activity levels are very low.

Acute gastroenteritis

• Emergency departments: activity slightly up

• Sentinel Network: activity decreasing

Bronchiolitis

• Emergency department visits due to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age were slightly up, with 14 visits in Week 32 compared to 12 in Week 31.

• The number of new hospitalizations also increased slightly in Week 32, with 5 coded hospitalizations, compared to 3 in Week 31.

• The proportion of emergency department visits for bronchiolitis among all visits by children under two years of age was 6.3% in Week 32, compared to 5.3% in Week 31.
