Key points

  • Gastrointestinal syndromes: indicators were generally stable.

  • Respiratory syndromes: indicators were generally decreasing. Mayotte has been in an influenza epidemic phase since 2025-S05 (late January) (following a pre-epidemic phase in 2025-S01) and in a bronchiolitis epidemic phase since 2024-S49 (early December).

  • Arboviral diseases: 2 autochthonous cases of chikungunya were reported in week 2025-S13.

  • Leptospirosis: 41 cases have been reported since January 1, 2025, including 5 cases in 2025-S12.

  • Access to water: difficulties accessing water are still being reported and observed in households visited during community-based surveillance rounds.
