Dengue Surveillance in Réunion. Epidemiological Update as of September 4, 2018.
Epidemiological Situation
Since the beginning of 2018, 6,538 biologically confirmed or probable cases of dengue (including 6 imported from Polynesia, Brazil, Thailand, and Myanmar) have been reported by private and hospital laboratories in Réunion. This situation follows an unusual, low-level viral circulation during 2017, when persistent transmission was observed during the southern winter.
