COVID-19
In S41, viral circulation remained stable at a very low level for the third consecutive week, with an incidence rate of approximately 40 cases per 100,000 residents. The testing rate continued to decline, with 587 people tested per 100,000 inhabitants. In contrast, the positivity rate rose slightly to 7% after remaining stable at 6% over the past two weeks. The effective R was on the rise at 0.91.
Regarding hospital indicators, new hospitalizations and admissions to intensive care continued to decline, while deaths were rising slightly. All hospital indicators were at low levels in S41.
Bronchiolitis
There was a decrease in emergency department visits due to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age in Week 39 (n=43 vs. 53 in Week 38).
The number of new hospitalizations remained stable in S39 (n=20 vs. 23 in S38).
Influenza
Epidemic phase since S39.
Virological surveillance of influenza in the hospital shows a very clear increase in the circulation of influenza viruses, which have been predominantly type A(H1N1) since Week 36. The positivity rate was 25% in Week 41 compared to 16% in Week 39. In S41, there were 33 positive influenza samples out of 97 negative samples. Among the positive samples, 23 were type A(H1N1), 6 were type A(H3N2), and 4 were type B.
