In Week 27 (July 4–10, 2022), Réunion entered a flu epidemic due to the circulation of influenza A(H3N2) viruses in community and hospital settings, associated with a stable number of emergency department visits that has remained above the epidemic threshold for the past three weeks. The health impact of this circulation is moderate at this stage, with no severe cases reported.
