  • Significant slowdown in the outbreak: no cases of cholera have been reported in Mayotte since July 12.

  • A total of 221 cases have been recorded in the department since March 18, 2024 (214 confirmed cases and 7 probable cases).

  • Of these, 199 were locally acquired and 22 were imported cases.

  • All outbreaks are currently inactive.

  • Multidisciplinary consultation meetings have been established to determine the cause of death in suspected cases.

  • Fourteen severe cases required hospitalization in intensive care; five deaths attributable to cholera and two deaths partially attributable to cholera have been recorded.
