Hospital Activity:

No significant strain was reported in the region’s various emergency departments during week 2011-49. However, due to the onset of winter epidemics in the region, vigilance is required.

Monitoring of seasonal epidemics:

  • Bronchiolitis: The outbreak has now begun in our region, with a sharp increase in the number of cases diagnosed in emergency departments this week. Nationally, the peak appears to have been reached in week 2011-48,

  • flu-like syndromes: combined data from the Sentinelles and Grog networks show a slight increase in the number of cases in the region,

  • acute gastroenteritis: the outbreak has not yet begun, although sporadic cases are being reported by physicians in various surveillance networks.
