Mortality: The figures recorded from vital statistics data are stable and follow the usual seasonal trends.
Emergency room visits by vulnerable populations: A slight increase in the number of emergency room visits among children under 1 year of age; no significant change for those aged 75 and older.
Notifiable Diseases (NDs): Note that 9 cases of Legionnaires’ disease have been reported since last month in Gironde; based on available information, there is no indication of clusters.
Chikungunya and dengue: enhanced surveillanceSince May 1 in Lot-et-Garonne and Gironde, 22 suspected cases have been reported, of which 10 cases of chikungunya, 4 cases of dengue, and one co-infection have been confirmed, all of which were imported. To date, no locally acquired cases have been identified.
Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE)According to available sources, activity is low and in line with expectations.
Asthma and AllergiesActivity is decreasing according to Oscour® and SOS Médecins in Aquitaine and nationwide; a high allergy risk (grass pollen) is forecast for the region. Heat-related illnesses
Activity is decreasing according to Oscour® and SOS Médecins in Aquitaine as well as in France. No heat wave is forecast by Météo France.
School Absenteeism: Absenteeism rates are trending upward, with no reported health-related causes.
