Key Points

Mortality
The number of deaths recorded in weeks 17 and 18 is close to or even below the levels typically observed during this period (data to be finalized next week).

Emergency room visits by vulnerable populations
Activity related to emergency room visits by vulnerable populations (75 years and older and under 1 year of age) remains below alert thresholds. However, a slight increase is observed among those under 1 year of age.

Reportable Diseases (MDO)
No notable changes this week.

Chickenpox
According to the SOS Médecins network, chickenpox activity is rising sharply, exceeding the threshold for the second consecutive week. The same trend is observed at the national level.

Acute Gastroenteritis (AG)
Both nationally and in Aquitaine, the number of consultations for gastroenteritis in hospital emergency departments and private practices is low, with figures comparable to the two previous seasons.

Vector-borne diseases
In Lot-et-Garonne, since the resumption of the accelerated reporting and biological confirmation system on May 1, no suspected imported cases of chikungunya or dengue have been reported

Asthma: The number
of patients seeking care from SOS Médecins and the Oscour® network’s emergency services for asthma in Aquitaine remains stable and close to the levels observed during the same period last year (all ages combined). In France, a slight increase in these two indicators is observed.

Allergies
Nationally, allergy monitoring indicators are on the rise. In Aquitaine, according to the SOS Médecins network and the Oscour® network, allergy-related activity remains high.
