Mortality
: Mortality rates recorded from vital statistics data, across all age groups, remain in line with expected levels for this period.
Emergency room visits by vulnerable populations
The number of emergency room visits among children under 1 year of age and adults over 75 remains within expected ranges for this period.
Reportable Diseases (MDO)
Data unavailable since S10, but alerts reported through the regional health surveillance and emergency platform do not indicate any unusual situation.
Virology and enterovirus
meningitis Circulation of seasonal respiratory viruses according to Bordeaux University Hospital, notably influenza A and rhinovirus; a few cases of enterovirus meningitis (Oscour®, Bordeaux University Hospital).
Acute gastroenteritis (AGE)
In Aquitaine, activity is declining according to the Oscour® network but remains high according to SOS Médecins. Nationally, there is a downward trend in SOS Médecins activity; the epidemic threshold has not yet been exceeded for this season.
Influenza and influenza-like illnesses
All indicators continue to decline in mainland France, including in Aquitaine. The end of the epidemic is to be confirmed next week.
Bronchiolitis
Activity for bronchiolitis in Aquitaine is stable, below the epidemic threshold according to SOS Médecins, Oscour®, and the AquiRespi network, with 40 children treated on March 15–16.
Carbon monoxide poisoning
Since September 2013, 49 incidents reported (+5 in the last 15 days) with 108 people exposed and 76 transported to emergency rooms (France: 965 incidents, 2,871 exposed, 25 deaths).
School Absenteeism Overall
absenteeism rate remains stable. A few cases of gastroenteritis have been reported.
