Bronchiolitis

High activity; the epidemic continues into its fifth week with activity levels remaining high:

  • 67 SOS Médecins consultations were recorded, representing 7.1% of activity among children under 2 years of age (compared to 7% in week 13);

  • 133 emergency room visits were recorded, representing 10.2% of activity among children under 2 years of age (compared to 12% in week 13), of which 76 were followed by hospitalization, representing 57% of bronchiolitis cases (compared to 51% in week 13); 50% of hospitalized cases were under 3 months old (compared to 38% in week 13);

  • 27% of hospitalizations among children under 2 years of age were for bronchiolitis (compared to 32% in week 13);

  • RSV is still circulating very actively in the region.
