• The spread of SARS-CoV-2 continues in the region, with an upward trend in the incidence rate (+6%) and a stabilization of the positivity rate in week 04-2021.

• In week 04-2021 (January 25–31), the number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases continued to rise, with 10,674 new confirmed cases in the region. The incidence rate reached 177.9 per 100,000 inhabitants, continuing a gradual increase over the past 5 weeks.

• The positivity rate remained stable compared to the previous two weeks, at 5.8% in week 04 (6.1% in week 03). Among asymptomatic individuals tested, this rate was 3.5% (3.9% in week 03), compared to 13.0% among symptomatic individuals (13.9% in week 03).

• In week 04, the testing rate increased slightly (+13%), with 3,087 tests performed per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 2,730 per 100,000 in week 03.
