Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • Increase in all indicators:

    • SOS Médecins: a sharp increase in the number of procedures for bronchiolitis in S44, along with an increase in the percentage of activity related to this condition.

    • Hospital emergency departments: increase in the number of visits and visits followed by hospitalization.

    • There has also been an increase in requests for physical therapy within the ARB network.

  • Fifth week of the bronchiolitis epidemic in Île-de-France.

Influenza, influenza-like illnesses, and acute respiratory infections

  • Increase in indicators across all age groups in SOS Médecins associations.

  • Indicators are declining in hospital emergency departments; the number of hospitalizations is low.

  • Incidence of acute respiratory infections remains stable according to data from the Sentinelles network.

COVID-19

  • Visits to emergency departments (Oscour®) related to COVID-19 were slightly down compared to the previous week.

  • The proportion of SOS Médecins cases during this second week of school vacation was lower compared to previous weeks.

  • The number of visits followed by hospitalizations decreased in week 44 (100) compared to the previous week (132).

  • Virological surveillance (Néo-SIDEP): decrease in cases of infection (SARS-CoV-2-positive samples by RT-PCR and antigen tests) in week 44 compared to the previous week. The testing rate is 86 tests per 100,000 inhabitants.

Gastroenteritis

  • Indicators are rising in SOS Médecins clinics and falling in hospital emergency departments compared to the previous week.

  • Low activity levels at SOS Médecins clinics and in hospital emergency departments.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

  • Since the start of enhanced surveillance in the region, 506 cases of arboviral diseases—412 confirmed cases and 94 probable cases—including 493 cases of dengue, 5 cases of chikungunya, 6 cases of Zika, and 2 cases of dengue/chikungunya co-infection; 502 imported cases, 3 confirmed locally acquired cases of dengue, and 1 other case of dengue possibly acquired in Île-de-France. There have been 83 reported hospitalizations for dengue, including 2 deaths, and 2 hospitalizations for chikungunya.
