44 cases of arboviral diseases, including 39 confirmed cases and 5 probable cases, were identified in Île-de-France, comprising 43 cases of dengue and 1 case of chikungunya, all of which were imported.
The cases were imported from the Caribbean (25), Latin America (8), Asia (6), and sub-Saharan Africa (5).
42 (95%) were potentially viremic in Île-de-France, and 20 (45.5%) resided in municipalities in the region colonized by the “tiger mosquito” (Aedes albopictus).
Extreme heat, heat wave
As of June 1, the national heatwave plan is in effect across the country. As it does every year, Santé publique France has implemented seasonal monitoring and is reiterating prevention messages and recommended actions to take during periods of extreme heat.
The Île-de-France region was under a green alert in week 24: no impact on e-heatwave indicators in week 24.
