Key Points

InfluenzaIn this seventh week of the epidemic, influenza activity remains high, but the overall trend in influenza-related visits is downward, with: - a decrease in visits to primary care physicians (Sentinel data), - a slight decrease in the number of SOS Médecins consultations for influenza, - a stabilization in emergency department visits for influenza, - a decrease in reports of severe cases admitted to intensive care (18 sentinel units).

All-cause mortality: Nationally, the increase in all-cause mortality observed since mid-December has continued for the fifth consecutive week (through week 02 of 2017).In Île-de-France, an increase in mortality has also been recorded for weeks 2016/51 through 2017/02 (i.e., 4 consecutive weeks of increase).
