Health Monitoring in the Île-de-France Region. Update as of January 10, 2013.

Summary

Week 1:

  • A moderate decrease in the number of calls to SOS Médecins concerning people aged 75 and older (compared to Week 52), with figures higher than those of the previous two years for the same period. The most common reasons for calls continue to be flu-like symptoms, respiratory conditions, isolated fevers, and gastroenteritis.

  • For the flu, a stabilization in visits to hospital emergency departments is observed. Adults aged 15 to under 65 remain the most affected.

  • For gastroenteritis, there has been a stabilization in visits to hospital and community emergency departments, but gastroenteritis remains the second most common reason for SOS calls (after respiratory conditions) and the third most common reason for emergency department visits among children under 15.
