Health Monitoring in the Île-de-France Region. Update as of February 13, 2013.

Summary

Week 06 in the Île-de-France region was primarily marked by the ongoing influenza epidemic, with the concurrent circulation of the A(H1N1)pdm09, A(H3N2), and B. The number of visits to hospital emergency departments and private practices for influenza and influenza-like illness remains high across all age groups, though a slight decrease is noted compared to Week 05. Since the start of surveillance, 59 severe cases of influenza have been reported by intensive care units in Île-de-France. In week 06, there has been a significant increase in the number of severe cases admitted to intensive care (10 cases reported to date for week 06).
