Key Points

COVID-19

  • SOS Médecins calls related to COVID-19 increased compared to the previous two weeks, and activity levels in hospital emergency departments remained stable compared to Week 30. The number of hospitalized cases remains low.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

  • Since the start of enhanced surveillance in the region, 89 cases of arboviral diseases—77 confirmed cases and 12 probable cases—have been identified in Île-de-France, including 88 cases of dengue and 1 case of chikungunya, all of which were imported.

  • The cases were imported from the Caribbean (46), Asia (16), Latin America (15), and sub-Saharan Africa (12). Among the cases, 81 (91%) were potentially viremic in Île-de-France, and 37 (41.6%) resided in municipalities in the region colonized by the “tiger mosquito” (Aedes albopictus).

High temperatures, heat wave

  • The Île-de-France region was at green alert level in week 31: iCanicule indicators were decreasing compared to week 30.
