Epidemic level: activity levels related to bronchiolitis increased in week 46. Île-de-France has been on epidemic alert for the fourth week.
Influenza and influenza-like illness
In hospitals: The number of emergency room visits for flu-like illness was on the rise, particularly among children under 15. The number of hospitalizations for flu-like illness remained stable and low. The rate of influenza activity remained stable at a baseline level.
In private practice: The number of cases of flu-like illness reported to the SOS Médecin network was on the rise, linked to an increase in flu-related visits among children under 15.
COVID-19
SOS Médecins: The decline in the number of cases for suspected COVID-19 continued in Week 46, particularly among those aged 15–64. Case numbers remained low among children under 15 and adults aged 65 and older.
Emergency room visits: The number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 remained stable since Week 44. Case numbers remained low.
SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater: The downward trend in SARS-CoV-2 levels in wastewater in Île-de-France continued in Week 46. All monitored stations had interpretable results.
