Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic level: Bronchiolitis activity levels were down in week 51 and continued to remain at a level comparable to last season. The Île-de-France region is on epidemic alert for the ninth week.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • Healthcare activity related to influenza-like illnesses continued to rise, both in hospitals and in community settings.

COVID-19

  • SOS Médecins: The number of cases involving suspected COVID-19 decreased across all age groups. Case numbers remained low among those aged 65 and older.

  • Emergency room visits: The number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 increased among those under 15 and remained stable among those aged 15–64 and those aged 65 and older. Case numbers remained low. SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater: in Week 51, the overall trend toward stabilization of SARS-CoV-2 circulation in wastewater in Île-de-France. All monitored stations had interpretable results.
