Tuberculosis Screening in Migrant Housing Facilities in Paris

Between January 31 and June 30, 1994, 19 migrant worker housing complexes received mobile tuberculosis screening services. This initiative, carried out by a team from the Paris City Hall’s Department of Social Action for Children and Health, served as a public health effort: raising awareness about tuberculosis screening and addressing various health needs of migrant workers. The tuberculosis rate identified through systematic X-rays was 826 per 100,000 X-rays.
