Surveillance of severe influenza cases
In mainland France, 24 severe cases of influenza have been reported this season.
In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, 7 severe cases of influenza were reported this week, including 1 death, bringing the total number of reported cases this season to 8.
In the Picardie region, no severe cases of influenza have been reported this season.
Surveillance of acute gastroenteritis
In mainland France, the incidence of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice remains below the epidemic threshold.
In Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy, calls to SOS Médecins are generally stable and remain below regional epidemic thresholds.
Surveillance of carbon monoxide poisoning
In mainland France, 63 reports involving 345 people were reported during weeks 51 and 52 of 2014.
In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, 10 cases were reported to the surveillance system over the past two weeks, involving 31 people, one of whom died.
In the Picardy region, 4 cases were reported to the surveillance system over the past two weeks.
