Key points

Acute lower respiratory tract infections

  • Significant increase in activity at SOS Médecins and in emergency departments; increase primarily driven by the circulation of influenza viruses.

Bronchiolitis (<1 year)

  • 5th week of the epidemic phase.

  • Activity is decreasing in emergency departments and stable at SOS Médecins; activity levels remain moderate. The circulation of RSV is also stabilizing.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • 4th week of the epidemic phase

  • High and rising activity in private practice within the SOS Médecins and Sentinelles networks as well as in emergency departments; levels comparable to those observed during the previous season. The circulation of influenza viruses continues to increase.

COVID-19

  • Low and stable activity in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins.

Mortality

  • All-cause mortality within expected fluctuations; increase in influenza-related deaths recorded via electronic certification
