Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • In week 51-2025, the rise in bronchiolitis indicators, which began in week 45-2025, continues in emergency departments. Bronchiolitis accounts for 21% of emergency department visits and 13% of SOS Médecins consultations. The region has been in an epidemic phase since week 48-2025.

Influenza and Influenza-Like Illnesses

  • All indicators for influenza-like illness continue to rise. The rate of emergency department visits rose from 2.1% in week 50 of 2025 to 2.9% in week 51 of 2025, and the rate of SOS Médecins consultations rose from 13% to 18%. Virology data also show an increase in the circulation of influenza A. The region has been in an epidemic phase since week 49 of 2025.

COVID-19

  • Seekings of care for suspected COVID-19 remain at low levels (<1% of total activity), both in hospitals and in private practice. The Sum’eau indicator has stabilized following four consecutive weeks of increases.

Acute Gastroenteritis

  • SOS Médecins consultations and emergency room visits are fluctuating at levels typical for the season.
