Physical activity contributes to the well-being of people with chronic illnesses. [Interview]
The Champagne-Ardenne Sport, Health, and Well-being Network has established a support program for people with chronic illnesses, led by a sports medicine educator or an instructor in adapted physical activity, offering a gradual and tailored approach. Engaging in physical or sports activities—a gateway to health and care—enables these patients to regain their self-confidence and build social connections. Health and sports stakeholders are working together through the Sports, Health, and Well-being Plan to encourage patients to participate in sports, particularly those who are least likely to do so.
