COVID-19

  • Gradual slowdown in the spread of SARS-CoV-2 across the entire region, with a declining number of hospitalizations.

  • Incidence rates (IR) are declining across all age groups and departments; the highest IR is among those aged 75 and older (196.2 per 100,000)

  • Weekly rates of new hospitalizations and new ICU admissions continue to decline.

  • BA.5 sublineage on the rise and now dominant since week S24

  • Increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in ESMS

Acute gastroenteritis

  • In week 32, activity related to gastroenteritis was down in hospital emergency departments and stable at SOS Médecins

Extreme heat, heat wave

  • SOS Médecins: In week 32, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, the number of SOS Médecins calls for heat-related conditions (n = 3) was stable compared to week 31 (n = 4) and accounted for 0.3% of consultations.

  • Oscour®: In week 32, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, the number of heat-related emergency room visits (n = 48) was down compared to week 31 (n = 67) and accounted for 0.5% of visits.

Monkeypox

  • As of August 16, 26 cases have been confirmed in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region, and several cases are currently under investigation.
